Roygbiv - Orange

Jeg er forelsket, i en farge! Orange (tangerine) dukker opp en del forskjellige steder i leiligheten min. Denne klare, varme fargen minner meg om solen :)
I'm in love, with a color! Orange (tangerine) is making an aparance different places in my appartment. This bright, warm color reminds me of the sun :)

Leiligheten min kan føles litt kald på vinteren, for det er en del måneder vi ikke se solen. Så når jeg valgte å ta inn mye blått på kjøkkenet og turkis i stuen måtte jeg krydre litt med noe varmere.
My apartment can feel a bit cold in wintertime, as we don't get any sun for a few months. So when I desided to bring lots of blue into the kitchen and turquoise in the livingroom I needed to spice it up with something warmer.

Jojo´s rom har og litt av fargen. Hun så den da jeg malte fatet, og hun fallt og for den :)
My daughters room has a touch of the color aswell. She saw it when I was painting the big dish, and she too fell for it :)

Jeg har en del gamle bilder, og skal vise noen fra her jeg bor senere. Skulle gjerne stilt ut dem, men tørr ikke rive dem ut av albumet. Disse var løse, så da ble det dem nå.
I have a few old pictures, and will show some from where I live later. I´d love to have them on dislpay, but I´m afraid to pull them out of the album. These where loose, so I´m using them for now.

Jeg fikk noen gamle kaffe-glass, nescafe ble visst solgt i disse, og syntes det var en fin måte å vise bildene på.
I got some old coffee-jars, nescafe was sold in these, and thought it was a good way to display the pictures.

Fall love

Den siste ukean har det føltes som om høsten er her. Jeg liker høsten! Føles så godt å tenne lys og krølle seg opp i sofaen med et glass rødvin!
For about the last week it has seemed as fall is here. I like the fall! Feels so good to light candles and curl up in the couch with a glass of red wine!

Turquoise table

Avlastningsbordet i stuen har blitt turkis!
The side table in the livingroom is now turquoise!

Før. Jeg kjøpte bordet på loppemarked i fjor, for 50 kr. Jojo hjelper til med å pusse bort lakken!
Before. I got the table last year, 50 kr at a flea-marked! Jojo is helping sand it down.

Jeg er sååå fornøyd med resultatet! Fargen har jeg blandet selv, så den macher de nye putene.
I´m happy with the result! I mixed the color myself, to mach the new pillows.

Saturday wishes

I really, REALLY, want these! 4 or 6 of them, they are only 10 cm in diameter. Perfect for créme brûlée!

Dreaming....

Of my own summer house! I know where to put it... A part of the lot where my dad´s summer house is is not being used. You can´t even see it from the existing house. What I want to put up is this one from Enkelrum. It´s 20 sqm. I don´t think it has to be big, just need some good solutions! Anyway, we´ll spend most of the time outside (counting on better summers to come). I want a big deck!

I want to put up a wall inside, so Jojo gets her own "room". It´ll be just big enough for a family bed.

Sofabed with storage, compact kitchen, table that can be pulled out to seat 6, chairs that can be stacked, all from Ikea.

Roygbiv - Red

Since my blog is called "Over the rainbow" I want to go through the colors of the rainbow one after the other. First I want to show you some of what I have in the different colors. Over the next weeks I will do a post on one color each Wednesday. Starting this week with RED.

I don´t have much red in my apartment, but when I started to look for it I realized that I have more than I thought.

I LOVE my mug :) I don't have time to sit at the kitchen table and drink my coffee in the morning, so this is perfect for me! I (almost) always have fresh chili in this bowl. My grandfather won it in a ski-jumping  competition, can you see the little jumper? Old style! Red spices! Saffron (fake) and tandoori. The Swiss flag, to honer my daughters Swiss heritage. A few of my albums, the little red one has pictures from a wedding where I was the flower-girl :)
